The Prowling Reaper

“ The more you live in the present moment, the more the fear of death disappears. ” ~ Eckhart Tolle Once upon a time, a young man went to his master and asked, “Master, how can I get rid of the fear of death?” The master said, “When you borrow some money from someone, are you afraid to give them back?” “Of course not,” replied the young man. “But what does that have to do with my fear of death?” The master picked up some soil from the ground and said, “You are made from dust, you have received your body in debt and will be required to repay. Price Tag

“ The cost of a thing is the amount of what I will call life which is required to be exchanged for it, immediately or in the long run. ” ~ Henry David Thoreau This week I’ve been able to work long stretches on a project which has meant I’m back on track with my listening stats on podcasts.   “ You can either be a victim of the world or an adventurer in search of treasure. It all depends on how you view your life. ” ~ Paulo Coelho Ever been on a treasure hunt? I have been on a hunt lately, but not in the pick-and-shovel kind of hunt. My hunt has been on my phone’s play store and today I want to share some treasures I’ve found.   I have harped on about habits severally before but I may have forgotten to say that I’m pathetic at consistently keeping up with anything if I don’t have help. So enter the world of apps; some of them have become extremely useful crutches for getting through my days. Most phones come with a preloaded calendar, clock, and notepad apps. Most of them go unused on most phones, sadly. I save birthdays, events, appointments, bills, reminders – anything that I need to remember by a given date and add a notification either days or hours before the event. That way, I don’t have to give up my brain bandwidth to remember stuff I can down...
